Summer is just around the corner, so here's a little banner to help you and your students celebrate! You can also use the free downloadable template to customize signs and messages for your classroom next year. Items to Gather:
- "Happy Summer" Circle Banner printable available here
- Colored cardstock--At least two colors
- Your choice of string or twine. (I used baker's twine, but anything works.)
- Hole punch (I used a smaller one because I had thin twine. Regular hole punches are fine too.)
- Scissors and/or paper cutter
- 2.75 inch circle punch
- 3 inch circle punch
Instructions:
Step 2: Cut out the letter banner pieces using your 2.75 inch circle punch. (Or with scissors.) *The circles containing graphics are meant to be used as spacer pieces. -Pick your favorite one and cut it out as well.
Step 3: From different colored paper, cut out a larger circle. (This will be the background circle.)
Hang and enjoy!
Other Tips/Suggestions:
If you want to make another banner, I've also included the ABC Circle Banner set so you can create your own messages. This set includes the whole alphabet, several circles with graphics, and a page of blank circles. (Click here to download.) You could make a welcome banner for next year or other signs to hang around your classroom. -Or print the whole set to create an uppercase alphabet banner.
More ways to use this template: You can print these and attach them to magnetic sheets, to use as magnetic letters for your literacy center.
OR, the blank banner circles can be used for the students to decorate. For example, you could create a back to school banner including self-drawn faces of every student in your class.
I'll bet you can think of lots more ways to use this versatile template. I'd love to see what you come up with!
Enjoy!

Love it! Thanks so much!
