DIY Homework Boxes

Do you want to give homework to your students and know they have everything they need to complete it all in one place?   The answer is a homework box!

Items to Gather:

  • Tuck top mailing box (I purchased this 11 1/4 by 8 3/4  by 4 inch box from PaperMart).
  • Label for the top of the box (The labels are printed on Avery White Internet shipping Labels 18126)
  • "Homework helper" for inside the box
  • Crayons
  • Pencil
  • In addition to the supplies mentioned above, you will want to include items your students will use repeatedly throughout the year.  This will vary by teacher.  I include things like: dice, number cubes, counters, number cards for math games, sight word flashcards, and a reading strategies bookmark.

1.  Print the label for the top of the box and the homework     helper for inside the box.

2.  Add homework supplies to each box.

Other Tips/Suggestions:

I give these out to my students at our Back to School Open House.

Happy Hassle-Free Homework!
