DIY Response Boards

I have chalkboards my dad made me when I first started teaching kindergarten and these are great for centers and handwriting practice.  But I want something easier for us to use.  I have dry erase paddles that we LOVE but I want something the kids can keep in their math tool kit.  The answer:  student response boards!

Items to Gather:

  • black contact paper
  • poster board

    Instructions:

    Step 1
: Cut your poster board into the desired size.

    Step 2:
Cut your contact paper into the same size as your poster board.

    Step 3:
Attach your contact paper to your poster board.

    Other Tips/Suggestions:

You can make different sizes depending on the needs of your class.  I chose a bigger size so my kindergartners would have a bigger area to write on.

I hope these are exciting for you as they were for me!  Happy creating!
