DIY Two-Sided Dry Erase Boards

These easy DIY Dry Erase Boards are the best of both worlds - whiteboard on the front, blackboard on the back.  We're going to have so much fun with these in class!

Items to Gather:

  • white and black poster board
  • laminating pouches (thick ones are better) and laminator
  • dry erase markers

1.  Cut out 8 1/2 x 11 pieces from your white and black poster board.  I used a piece of cardstock to trace the correct size on my poster board.  You can get 6 pieces from each piece of poster board.
2.  Place a white and black piece back-to-back and place inside laminating pouch.
3.  Laminate.
4.  Have fun!  I am planning on having my students use regular colors of dry-erase markers on the white side, and neon dry erase markers on the black side.  I bought enough markers so that each student can have one regular dry-erase and one neon dry-erase marker.  Markers are kept in a small baby sock - keeps the markers together, and the baby sock can be used as an eraser for the board.

Hope you enjoy!

  2. If projects like this are what my son has got to look forward to in school, then I guess it's a good thing I introduced him to the ute tool boxes early. Now he won't have a problem using the right tools to make masterpiece projects.
