DIY Thumbprint Ornaments

 Moms and dads will love these darling ornaments made using their child's thumbprint.

Items to Gather:

• shatter proof Christmas ball ornaments
• medium tip paint markers (brown, red, black) 
• brown craft paint

Instructions:

1. Have students write their names and the year on the back of the ornament with a black paint marker.

2. Dip the student's thumb into brown craft paint and make three little thumbprints across the ornament.

3. When the paint has dried completely, add antlers, eyes, and noses.  I like to do two brown noses and a red one in the center. 

Other Tips and Suggestions:

Wrap in tissue paper, put in a cellophane bag, and tie with a pretty ribbon. Parents will love this darling keepsake!
